Capital charm

The Bakrid or Eid al Adha vacation saw us return to the capital city once again. For me, Abu Dhabi holds a charm like Trivandrum - quiet and elegant. AD also brings back memories of our layover in 1984 on our way back to India from Tanzania. Some of the buildings in downtown still seem to be from that era.

On the second day, we stopped at Abrahamic Family House on our way back. Mira, who is no longer fascinated by the glitter of the Gulf after a year in APU, seemed somewhat impressed by the architecture. The trip was mainly to entertain her as she vacations here for over 2 months.
