A week later, we took the train in pouring rain to Trivandrum ditching a plan to visit Kanyakumari, land's end of India. We stayed at my old hostel mate's flat in trivandrum, a lovely airbnb kind of accommodation. Another college/ classmate drove down from KK district and took us both to Padmanabhapuram Palace and St Thomas's Arapally, both presently situated in Tamil Nadu's KK district. The gallant knight then took us to see Triveni sangamam where the three seas meet on Indias southern most tip. The Vivekananda rock and Thiruvalluvar statue were lost in the 8 pm darkness. Some day we need to return to experience a ferry ride to the Rock.
