A well-known journalist I had met at an event last year and who has been in touch occasionally called in the morning. He is based in Abu Dhabi.
"Is Sharjah having a Light Festival now?"
I said yes, it started day before blah blah.
"But are there festive decorations around the city?"
I told him I am not sure, that I will check when I go out.
"I heard they are doing it because it is your birthday."
That is when I realised he was just pulling my leg. He had got an alert on Li.
We chatted awhile. I must say it was the most fun birthday greeting this year. I cant stop laughing.
