Netted


 We have finally managed to keep the pigeons out. A balcony net has done the trick, though our installation has been quite amateurish and I still worry the persistent birds will find a way to sneak in. The plant nursery opposite the Al Jubail market provided the net, and we chose an almost invisible one so as to avoid incurring a fine from the municipality for spoiling the facade look.

V and the kids are kinder to the birds and tell me I should live and let them live. And what if they are our ancestors? Worse still, V warned that I could be reborn as a pigeon in my next birth and looking for a balcony to roost.

I insist they are urban pests and dont need any undue kindness other than some rice grains left at another perch. Not on my balcony, pooping by the minute.
