Fabulous FaFa

For the first time, I watched a movie on the first day of release - Joji, on Amazon Prime. Here is my review, but if you like suspense, please dont read it until you watch it. I am the kind who often reads the plot before I sit down to watch a movie - just to make sure it is worth my time - except in the case of new movies I watch in theatre.

Warning: This is only a pedestrian review and I am not a seasoned film critic.

Fahad is my favorite actor, ever since I saw him in Oru Indian Pranayakatha as a grassroots politician. But then, any  Sathyan Anthikad is a pleasure to watch - humorous with a touching story beneath. Njan Prakashan was more funny.

The unremarkable ones I have seen are Varathan and Moneyratnam - that is not because of his acting but the insipid story line.

Fahd's more acclaimed movies have been ones in which he has shades of grey. Except Maheshinte Pratikaram, the others are not likeable characters including Joji. But all respect to the portrayal. I would call him the best in Malayalam's new crop of actors.
