When V called on his way home after dropping Ash at the Martin Garrix concert, he told me his most reliable assistant at work was leaving. Where to, I asked sensing the inevitable.
"Scotland. His nurse wife got a job there."
The migration of nurses and their families to the UK has increased multifold after Covid and the relaxation of IELTS norms.
"I think you should not recruit husbands of nurses herafter", I advised V.
'"Rather, I think I will marry a nurse!", he quipped.

We had to pick up Ash from the Coca Cola Arena near City walk Dubai after 12.30 am. Our lil big boy has been going out alone a lot but this was slightly worrying for us. What is there was a stampede? and he was alone too.
Anyway, all is well that ends well, and we reached home by 2 am after some delay in finding each other and stopping for tea.
It is also the last day of the year - a year of ups and downs and major changes in our lives. We await the Sharjah fireworks from the comfort of our window (the picture above is from a celebration after the water sport championship in early December).
ps. There is some issue when I use the Blogger app to enter a post.
