The flu bug has kept us all down the whole of this month, with mine beginning on the day of the book fair. Lost my assignment as a result. A lesson for us to take the flu vaccine well in advance as a precaution.
Two years of Covid and associated precautions had prevented us from getting sick except one bout of Covid itself.
Meanwhile, the World Cup fever has gripped us all now. Taking a Beinsports subscription last minute at an exorbitant price, we rued not buying tickets to watch a match in the neighbouring country like many UAE residents have done.
