I have started working full-time once again - after a gap of 7 years. The job has been a godsend - decent pay, walking distance from home, and work that I enjoy. It is for the same agency I was freelancing for. When they asked me last month, I decided to accept it as kids will soon be entering university here, and we need the money. Education is not cheap here even with the scholarships and discounts on offer.
Unfortunately, we missed the NYUAD deadline in December, our only hope for a full scholarship including for hostel. Ash wants to do psychology which some unis here are offering - NYU, Birmingham, Montfort, Heriot and Middlesex. After visiting the campuses in Academic City and Knowledge Park, we prefer the latter. Mdx seemed within our budget and style.
