Mira fell sick a day after the last post, so right now we are in various phases of cough and cold. The nip in the air has made most people sick, not to mention the holidaying crowd at Expo, GV and other popular winter locations. The Mangalorean neighbour who is most friendly on Whatsapp - though unfriendly if we ring her door bell and keeps us outside the door (the rules are different when she visits us) - was quiet for over a week which was unusual and I learn they are sick too.
As luck would have it, M saw the last post soon after I wrote it and was livid. She complained to V that I only talk ill about her and not Ash. So I plan to make amends here. I admit we have had a few issues with Ash since he entered teenage. With the internet being a dark place, monitoring who or what he chats with/about was one issue. After a certain point, we let him be though we make a habit of switching off the WiFi at night and locking the drawing room (after we caught him playing video games at 3 am). Today, he faithfully leaves his laptop and phone on our table before going to bed. How long I should insist on this, I do not know. He will soon be 18.
Anger management has been an occasional issue -- like throwing his first spectacles, a flimsy Lacoste, to the ground and breaking it when Mira accused him of something. But he is generally a pacifist and hates any fights at home. M on the other hand is suspicious and indulges in negativity. I guess each teen has their own growing pains.
