For the first time I had to drop Ash in the morning because he missed the school bus. Since the bus came at 6.40 am on Friday (a holiday here)we assumed it would do the same today too. But when I called the driver to inform 10 minutes before pickup time, he said it wasn't him but the regular school bus at 6.20 am that was coming.
Without panicking, I got ready in 5 minutes while Ash went to check if the bus had actually left. All the kids boarding the bus werent to be seen, so we hailed the first taxi that came our way, and reached at the deadline of 7.15 am. I got a taste of the morning school traffic at certain pockets. The return trip by the same taxi was smooth and fast.
So much for my plans to hit bed soon after Ash left.
If it werent for the Board exams (today being PE an optional paper), I would've asked him to stay at home.
