The fitness cult

After some teasing by Ash and V, I have taken up the seven-day challenge to reduce my belly fat, and the first Youtube I across was Cultfit, and I pretty much like it. So if any of you ladies would like to try this regimen or any other in the list, the link is in the name above.

The trainer is equally important when it comes to virtual sessions like this. It is difficult to keep the interest going when the interaction is one-sided, but this time I am making an effort to complete the 7-day challenge with Suvini. I can vouch that my tummy has become firmer and trimmer. But controlling my diet is still a tough goal and being at home, I tend to snack often out of boredom.

With zoom and other video calling platforms unblocked in the UAE, I am tempted to join their live sessions soon. The weather here is not suitable for outdoor activities, and so I have been skipping my evening walk. Mira's cycling trips have also been a casualty. Unless we head home before the sun hits the corniche lawns at 6:30 am, there is no point  -  the sun gives me migraine headaches and I also have Vinod's breakfast and lunch meals to plan.

So we have enrolled the kids at Westford Sports for swimming twice a week. Though both knew the basics, we felt they could learn well early in their lives unlike us adults who havent mastered the skill. Vinod knows some (the swimming instructor at GRT Pondy had taught all three of them during our one-day stays a couple of times), while I havent made an effort even to step into a pool. Death by drowning remains my biggest fears, yet I refuse to learn.

Both have got Filipino trainers, and they are kind and helpful. So Tuesday and Thursday nights, 9-10 pm, the last hour, Vinod transports them to the venue in Capital School Dubai. Something meaningful for this vacation.
