Homesick

The kids seem a lil more homesick now. Ash has been sobbing over the phone about some perceived ailment or the other. It means that it is time to get them back and find a new live-in nanny to take care of them (as long as she lasts).
And just as I was gearing up for my third trip home this weekend to bring the kids back comes the directive from the new State government that schools will reopen on June 15 instead of June 6 since the old textbooks have to be printed again - Amma rightly says that the uniform syllabus introduced last year by the ol' man is no good and schools revert to the old syllabus for now. I am glad for I found Samacheer Kalvi, the new syllabus of the DMK government, absolutely lousy - be it Maths, English or Enviromental Studies. I hope Jayalalithaa would also do away Tamil in the primary classes.
The kids might stay put in Chry for another week if I can find tickets for the next weekend.

Yes, all matriculation, anglo-indian and state board schools now have a common syllabus.
Today she says she wont interfere in the fee structure of pvt schools. Last year that had caused a lot of confusion - since fees were brought down, schools were trying to collect money in other guises.
